Through a Task Force, this Web site, an Annual Conference, Case Studies and a National Reform Network, the SMHC action project will share and implement nationwide effective practices to recruit, train, retain and reward top teacher and school administrator talent. SMHC's core resources: The Odden/Kelly paper defining SMHC, a paper on talent management in the private sector, case studies on leading-edge SMHC practices and a set of papers on teacher compensation.
Several education reform organizations that seek to improve the recruitment and management of talented teachers and principals are recognized by Fast Company, a leading business magazine. Many of these organizations are affiliated with SMHC through the Task Force.
